Social Investment Bank Limited (SIBL) has organized a blood donation programme in its Principal Branch premises at 15, Dilkusha C/A, Dhaka on June 24, 2006.

Being imbued with the spirit of humanity SIBL Officers and Executives donated blood with the help of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BRCS).

SIBL Chairman Major Dr. Md. Rezaul Haque (Retd) inaugured the blood donation programme being present as chief guest. SIBL Managing Director K. M. Ashaduzzaman attended the programme as special guest.

In a brief speech Dr. Reza asked the SIBL Officers and Executives to come forward for donation of blood for the welfare of human beings and said “Blood donation is not any adventure, it is the best wish of a healthy man “. He said one bag of blood may save the life of a dying person.

SIBL Managing Director K. M. Ashaduzzaman said one can build up the habit of saving blood by donating in good time which in turn could be a great help in need “So you should donate blood being imbued with the sense of humanity “, said Mr. K. M. Ashaduzzaman.

Representative of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society thanked the Officers and Executives of SIBL for arranging such an excellent programme and asked other organizations to follow the example of SIBL for the sake of the welfare of the people. He opined that a healthy man can donate blood twice a year and get free medical check-up.

Senior Executives of SIBL were present on the occasion.
