Mr. K.M. Ashaduzzaman has been appointed Managing Director of Social Investment Bank Ltd for the second term effective from April 19,2008 for a period of three years.

Under the able leadership of Mr. Ashad, SIBL came out of Problem Bank list in the minimum time in 2007.

Before joining SIBL he was Deputy Managing Director of Agrani Bank and General Manager of Bangladesh Krishi Bank.

A career banker, Mr. Ashad started his banking profession in 1978 as the Project Coordinator of Jobra Project of Bangladesh Krishi Bank which finally become Grameen Bank.

Mr. K.M. Ashaduzzaman was born to a respectable Muslim family at the village of Rowha of Dhamrai, Dhaka on January 06, 1952.

He obtained Masters of Economics from Chittagong University. He has got training on banking from home and abroad. He is widely travelled.
